"Three Viewpoints" exhibit featuring the work of Harry Carmean, Eva Slater and Miriam Slater in Santa Barbara in June. The show features the three artists who are all members of the same family but who have diverse approaches to painting. Eva Slater is a hard edge artist who is the mother of Miriam Slater (also an artist) who is married to Harry Carmean. Although the work is diverse in terms of subject matter and technique, the underlying art concepts were the same....with each artist one can see the making of every part to relate to the overall whole and the creating of interesting differences using oppositional elements such as color, line and form.
